One thought leader I follow is Mark Crowley, author of Lead from the Heart: Transformational Leadership for the 21st Century. Similar to me, he interviews authorities and shares what he learns. So if you like to read about leadership, I would encourage you to follow him. He is smart, thoughtful, and does his research. I contacted Mark the current state of leadership and his opinion on the situation.
In response, Mark sent me one of his latest articles as he tries to analyze what has taken place from a transition in leadership perspective. He titled it “How We Gain Power and Influence” since leaders usually have power and influence over the lives of others. You can read it by clicking here.
The questions yet to be answered are:
What kind of power and influence will be used?
How effective will it be?
How will people feel?
We will have to wait and see. I am hoping for the best for all of us.
Until then, may you lead from the heart and with wisdom.
AND ON A LIGHTER NOTE:
I encourage you to watch this 3-minute video clip. If you are in a position to influence the lives of others, part of your job is to build community especially at these challenging times. You could show this clip as a way to lighten the workplace (or the conversation at Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by family members with differing perspectives.) May you spend a lot of time around dogs you love–who demonstrate truly unconditional love and make us happy!
